Mega Apps Hybrid DVD v3.4 - KL

Welcome to the Mega Apps Hybrid DVD project! This is the most ambitious project of its kind. With it, you can live boot to Linux, install Windows XP, use bootable utilities to work on your system and backup or restore your system. And all that is just in the bootable section! In Windows, start the disc and you have access to well over 300 more pieces of software that you can install or in many cases run directly from the disc.

On the main interface of Mega Apps, click a category and you will see lists of software. Right click on a software title and you will see options for that software such as: run, install and description. To determine the version of the particular software, hover over it and a popup box will let you know.

All software has been tested on the version of Windows XP that comes with the project. Most software will probably run on other operating systems, but no guarantees.

Requirements (none are absolute, but this is a hefty project and you need a fairly decent computer - don't try this on a mid-90s 75 mhz computer, in other words):
* Processor: 500 Mhz or better
* Video card: 32 MB dedicated or 64 MB integrated (integrated into the motherboard, that is)
* Hard Drive: 10 GB or better
* DVD drive: It must be able to burn a DVD (burn at the slowest speed possible - don't get me started on this subject, just do it)
* OS: Any that can burn this project, but only Windows XP is truly supported for the rest of the software

* In the bootable section, updated Hiren's Boot CD and Parted Magic to the latest versions and Acronis to a newer version
Changed the styling of some aspects of the interface and bootable sections

Bootable section:

Acronis Echo - With this program, you can backup your computer (in its entirety or just files) to a file and re-install it very easily. It includes Universal Restore, which gets around Windows' protection to keep one version of XP from being installed on another computer.

Hiren's Boot CD - Tons of tools to fix your computer. I played around with some of them and it seems to work fine. I have only read good things about Hiren's project, but I cannot test everything from his project. This is the latest version (12.0) of his project.

PartedMagic - This is a live bootable version of Linux that offers full NTFS read/write control. Perfect for deleting files that are locked by viruses. This is the only reason I included it. This latest version does run on virtual machines and has some really cool features.

Windows XP - This is the same version as last time, only with a lot more drivers. This version has 13 themes integrated into the OS. It has service pack 3 integrated and all driver packs from DriverPack.net are integrated. Finally figured out how to permanently fix WGA (it passes WGA checks now) and Automatic Updates works fine.

Help - Just very brief descriptions of the bootable apps on the disc.

Boot from hard disk - You can either select this or wait 15 seconds. It bypasses all the above choices and boots up normally.
